Unit 51- Task 2

Copyright and Digital Permissions

What have I learnt
  • There is no such thing as electrical or digital copyright. However copyright will still protect images online on the internet.
  •  In the UK copyright protection can only be used in certain areas of work.
  • The rules of copyright are: The work must be original- this means that it mustn't have been copied exactly from the original source of the information

Images from existing sources

Existing Material: When I use photos from the internet I will have to make sure that in some way the picture shows where I got the picture from otherwise this is a breach of copyright laws. I will do this by checking that in the bottom corner of the picture that there is a company logo or the name of the company is on the picture in some way. If not then I will not be able to use the picture.

Websites that allow me to gain pictures at no expense

I have looked at the website Wikimedia and it will allows me to gain pictures to help me with my double page spread. This will help be as I can use the computer graphic they offer to make my double page spread more professional.
